Projects

We help our clients develop a roadmap to success that can transform any wetlands project.

THE BEST PROJECT WE WORK ON IS YOURS
Our work with your project can help achieve the goals that you need to fulfill. We focus on several key elements during consulting: identifying current and potential obstacles and offering strategic solutions; fostering essential acceptance of all project stakeholders; providing conscientious technical direction; and demonstrating and engaging in timely, factual communication. We routinely perform consulting services that integrate seamlessly into straightforward or complex projects, and deliver a product that meets our client’s expectations. Whether it’s documenting impact, developing best-case scenarios, or coordinating with regulatory agencies to provide components for permitting, WSI offers a wide array of tools that move a project toward successful completion.

Delineation Projects

These projects are often initiated because a developer, land owner or agency needs to know if property within a project’s boundaries falls within the jurisdiction of any federal wetlands statutes. Questions such as whether the area can be filled (and developed) or whether there are regulations that dictate land use are reasons that a wetlands delineation is critical. WSI has completed many of delineation projects in a 4-state area, helping groups to obtain proper permitting, determine regulatory restrictions, or to obtain certified documentation on an area’s hydrology, soils and vegetation. Here is a partial list of our delineation projects.

Mitigation and Credit Assessment Projects

WSI has concluded multiple credit assessment projects that have allowed our clients the ability to identify mitigation permit needs prior to their project impacting wetlands or waters. Our mitigation plans have provided baseline information, monitoring requirements, work plan specs, maintenance schedules, and long-term management strategies that work in conjunction with the project’s credit assessment. Here is a partial list of these projects.

Monitoring Projects

Basic site analysis is performed at a number of reference points in all monitoring projects that WSI has undertaken. This process is done to track performance of a wetlands area. Realistic goals and objectives, consideration of historic changes to the site, and comparison of hydrology, vegetation and soils are all data that is collected and audited during all of WSI’s monitoring projects. Listed here is a partial list of our monitoring projects.
